An Austin-based independent streetwear company created by me and my twin sister in 2014. FLAVNT Streetwear (pronounced Flaunt) caters to the LGBTQ community, selling clothing and accessories but most importantly providing visibility and fundraising partnerships. We team up with transgender individuals in need, helping them raise money for gender confirming surgeries. In the last 4.5 years we have raised over $22,000 for gender-confirming surgeries and are currently on our 12th partnership.
In addition to FLAVNT's Fundraising efforts, we successfully created an innovative product for the LGBTQ community and via Kickstarter and 700+ backers had it successfully funded in the Winter of 2015. We are always looking for ways to create more visibility and find solutions for problems within the community, as well as spread positivity through our designs and activism. Nearly everything at FLAVNT is community-run by LGBTQ individuals, from our two-person team to our volunteer models and photographers. In the last 2.5 years FLAVNT has been featured in over a dozen media outlets and has grown to a reach of over 60k across social media.
As a co-owner and designer at FLAVNT Streetwear I am responsible for helping in everything from create designs to packaging and shipping out orders. This includes but is not limited to: brainstorming and prototyping garments, designing new products, sourcing fabrics, marketing, customer service, media communications, social media management, blogging, photography, video editing, etc.
